Griffiths compressor install - final update
After five years decided to replace my leaking a/c compressor. Not the most fun job, but pretty straightforward. I chose their new R134a compressor as I liked the ports in this one, versus the manifold system on the Denso. My only concern, is the adjustment arm has to be longer than stock to attach to the compressor. Is this a concern?

I have the unit installed, and pressures are good, but the compressor is short cycling. Think it might be an electrical issue. The HVAC control module perhaps?

After some user errors on my part, the A/C system is working perfectly. Had to just keep tightening the belt to eliminate a squeak. And had too much refrigerant in the system that induced short cycling of the compressor from the high side. 40 degrees at the main vent with a kitchen thermometer. Very nice, at speed and at idle.
I highly recommend the new R134a compressor from Griffiths. The low side port at the compressor is accessible from the front left wheel if needed. The instructions were very helpful, and company support as well.
