Knock sensor question

I am replacing the knock sensor in my car. The issue was a 2-2 code and the sensor still worked but was just below the threshold needed to keep the KLR happy.
Any way the old senor was Bosch 0 261 231 001 its shunt resistance was approximately 300k, the torque spec from the shop manual called for 7 ft/lbs.
The sensor I just got (from Pelican) is a 0 261 231 006, its shunt resistance is about 1M.
So 1st question if the crystal in both are the same then the output from the new one has to be higher as less load from a higher resistance across it ?
2nd the torque spec as far as I can tell is about 15 ft/lbs..
So do I install at the car manual spec of 7 or at the sensor spec of 15 ?
Thanks
Sox

Is the 006 part an OEM replacement for the original? If so, I would go with the shop manual spec of 7 ft/lbf.

What source did you find that says 15 ft/lbf?

006 is supposed to be. It is what Pelican sells for the 86 951. its specs are from Bosch data sheet

Mechanical Data
Male thread (for cast) M8x25
Male thread (for AI) M8x30
Installation torque 20±5 Nm
Weight w/o wire 48 g
Protection IP X9K

The old sensor specs are not readily available, I was going with the spec out of the service manual for the 951.

P.s my knock counter now reads a lot more knock events when starting from stand still then it did with the old sensor. ( 10 or 12 vs. 2 or 3 with the old one) Don't know if its the sensor's sensitivity or what, will explore further.
