Porsche Crest Requesting Help: Bleeding Brakes, Change Trns Fluid, Jacking Up, and Lubing CV Joints

Requesting any tips on the following:

-Jacking up a 944- jack and jackstand placement.

-Bleeding Brakes- do I need special tools/ wrench? I know about the plastic tubing.

-Lubing the rear axle CV joints- do I have to take out bearings? I have the 12 pt 8mm.

-Changing the Transmission Fluid-do I need a pump? I have the 17mm allen.

I have a Haynes manual and plan to use Swepco products. Thanks for any suggestions!

Okay here is my best shot.

Jacking up the car. There are indents in your rocker panels that identify the right and left side jack points. For the jack stands there are points front and rear (behind the front wheels and behind the rear wheels) that are designed to support the car. Alot of people also use the T-bar tubes that are in front of the rear wheels.

Brake bleed. Strongly recommend the motive power bleeder, but if you are doing it the pump the pedal method, nothing special needed other than a box end wrench to loosen the bleed screws.

Gear Oil. Check to see that the plugs are in good shape. I am fighting with my lower plug now as the previous owner nearly stripped it. Always loosen the top plug first to make sure you can get it out. If you drain and can't remove the top plug you got problems. You won't need a pump to fill the case, just a funnel and about 4 ft of larger diameter tube. Put the tube in the top hole and run the hose out up by the top of the rear wheel well. Fill slowly until you reach the bottom of the fill hole. Be careful not to fill the entire funnel and tube. If you fill it w/that much oil in the tube you're going to have a smelly mess to clean up. So people heat the oil slightly to thin it a bit. Never tried it myself.

Lube the cv joints. Yes you have to remove the axles. Messy job and you have to be careful not to let the joint and bearings come out. If they do, the reassembly is critical. Test and make sure the joint works in ALL directions before you put them on the car. Make sure to get the right torque specs for the bolts. Some suggest replacing the bolts every time but I haven't and no problems yet.
