Post How can I identify my boost enhancer?

Hi there,
I own a Porsche 951 1986 with a stroker kit (2.8L conversion). The previous owner specified that the car had a boost enhancer and a chip. I know that I'm late (one year later) but I'm really wondering what's under the hood and there's no way to contact the po anymore. The stock boost gauge indicates 2.0 absolute bars at around 2900-3000 RPMs and drops to around 1.7-1.8 at 6000 RPMs. Even if the boost doesn't drop dramatically, the car accelerates alot faster from 3000 to 5000 RPMs than 5000 RPMs and up.

The question is: how can I identify the chip and the boost enhancer (banjo bolt or any manual boost controller) without spending 5 hours on the car?

Thanks ALOT
Yan

Hmmm....sorry, doesn't look like pictures work over here in forced induction land.

Check out the response on the regular 944 board.
