K&N Air Filter Oiling. Please Help

Hello I installed a K&N Air Filter into my 88 944 turbo awhile ago and decided to get the kit to clean it, good deal only 9.99 for a 32oz can of cleaner and a 32 oz can of oil. The problem is it came without directions, the cleaning part looks straight forward, but how much oil is applied.. it is spray so are we talking about a light coat ( wet to the touch but not dripping,) or heavier and let it sit a few mins before it goes back into the car? All advice is appreciated and thank you very much in advace Jeff | ||

Spray it with solvent, wait 10 minutes. Clean it with water (like a garden hose) in the opposite direction the air normally flows. Let it dry (30 minutes seems to do it). Oil it (don't over do it), let it dry (another 30 minutes).
