stranded please help

i'm stranded in roswell NM. my 86 951 will run perfectly cold; once warm, it will start and idle no problem, and rev if you pull the throttle by hand, BUT if you push the gas peddle under load it will hesitate then fire-- at first; after driving several minutes, it will simply drop down to idle and stay there; it will roll along top speed 20mph until cool again.

fuel pressure: 28 to 35 psi
air flow meter is working
throttle position sensor is working
amps at the battery ~13
new alternator
just replaced column switches
just fried 3.5 year old battery w/ plenty of electrlyte
cd player is malfunctioning
horn relay is very hot
turbo water pump is new and the relay works but it is not coming on

any ideas? thanks for reading

on a 951, all kinds of hoses under the intake manifold. check the rubber intake boots, double check the rubber intercooler hoses, check the BOV and the rubber parts that connect it to the intake.

How do you know this ?

throttle position sensor is working
Same question.

amps at the battery ~13
Don't understand this one.

new alternator
just replaced column switches

just fried 3.5 year old battery w/ plenty of electrlyte
Don't under stand this.

cd player is malfunctioning
Don't care

horn relay is very hot
could be a short, but wont keep you from running.

turbo water pump is new and the relay works but it is not coming on
You will reduce the life on the turbo, but again wont keep you from running.

any ideas? thanks for reading
Vacuum leak should show up as bad idle and not be temp related.
You need to make sure that the TPS is working when the engine is hot.
Ditto on the airflow meter.
Also is there any smoke or unusual emmision from the exhaust ?

My guess was going to be the TPS, have you tried reading the blink code?

you're not gonna like this, but you could have an issue with the DME. A cold solder joint or failing Injector driver could cause this.
Also, try disconnecting the O2 sensor and see what happens.
