Using the LR mafterburner

Hey guys, I will be installing a MAfterburner from LR on my 1987 924S that has a huntley racing MAF kit with the 4 knob tuner. I just wanted to see if any of you have used the Mafterburner and how you like it. Was it hard to tune?? Was it hard to install?? I will also be using a wibeband 02 sensor for easy tuning. Do you guys recommend the Mafterburner?

A mafterburner is a product from LR, Its a piggy back digitial fuel controler and data logger. Moslty used for people who have switched over from the AFM to MAF, Thats why I posted over here cuz most of the 951 performance guys go MAF.

i have been running mine for allmost 2 years now and i love it. its easy to tune and easy to wire up using the stock wires. it gives you enough controll to tune with the stock narrow band sensor. as i have done. and still do.

eec? i have no idea. i just helped a buddy of mine by giving him a piece of mind by showing him witch wires to splice off of. it is very simple. just take your time and double check before you splice. you can use what LR sends you (its what i have used) or you can cut and solder the wires then heat shrink them. now when you get to the point of needing to find a power wire for the MAF its self run the wire up to the test port on the drivers side and take out the test port then find the black wire and splice off of that.
as for the mafterburrner box its self just follow the directions. and you can take apart the DME plug very easly. just remove the plug from both the DME and KLR and on both you will see a screw ( on the Plug connectors them selves) remove the screw but to not loose it. The DME plug "slides" apart. The KLR plug you have to push the wire through the plug. and they both have markings for the pins. also you will have to roll back the rubber boost at the ends of the connectors. if I have confused you please let me know and i will upload some pictures for you.

oh damn i didnt notice that it was going into a 924S. i am sorry. the orange wire is just a TPS sensor pick up for the mafterburrner. i do not know what pin that would be on the 924 nor do i know what the wire colors are. i bet you could find them via the shop books.
