Up to 86 Turbos have the non-sealed strut assemblies where you can just replace the inserts - which is a helluva lot cheaper.
944Online has the adjustable Koni inserts (which for sure will fit) for just $243 each. (as opposed to $422 each for the whole assembly). When I re-do mine, this is what I'm gonna get. http://www.944online.com/cgi-bin/ASI_Store.cgi?Product+skukey_20052383+944turbo+Sus pension-944turbo I found Bilstein inserts that fit rebuildable Koni's for an 86 Turbo for $147 each. http://www.*****************.com/product_p/p30-0104-do.htm And Lindsey Racing sells the Boge inserts with the part number you had for $96 each - and it says they DO fit an 86 Turbo. http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsche/LR-27-891F.html I've got Boge/Sachs struts on my 83 NA and they're okay, but for my Turbo, I still wanna go for Koni's. It's not that much more...
