1989 Had a Total of 4103 produced, 1385 were sent to the U.S.

Here is a link of the production #'s for the years, thought I had a link for the color breakdown also. Let me look a bit more

F.Y.I: If you include 1988, the total # of turbo S cars exported to the US market was right around 2000.

Mike, hate to sound like a hater, but there was no "Zermatt Silver" paint for the 1989 944 Turbo. The guys were totally kind to give you all the sites to do your research, but you failed to provide the thread with info that would make this relevant: Your Color code on your car!! Did you look in the rear trunk under the cover or the driver side engine compartment (under the hood)?? Also, your VIN will help Porsche identify your original color. GOOD LUCK.

Hey,
It was an option on the window sticker and also has the zermat color code at the rear in trunk.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, Happy for you... would have helped me connect with you if you had only put the code number in your thread... LY7Y. I have Linen Metallic LM1U that many people mistake for your color.

Rob, I could have not done any better... just been busy today. Hope that Mike gets his color and will send him an Elf site to get the color he needs.
