944 v8 conversion quistions

hi, i am looking to do a ls1 swap in my 951. I have looked at renegade hybrids but i want to know if you guys know of a cheaper solution. what exactly needs to be changed, whats in the way, what parts can i make my self.... that sorta thing- thanks

renegade has the best kit. But you get what you pay for. you can buy a used ls1 which will bring the cost down, then do all the install yourself. When I spoke to them to do my car labor was about $4500 alone. There kit takes all the guess work out of it which I liked.
