After 15+ years of wanting a 944 I finally bought one the other day.
Yesterday I notice that it’s getting hot in traffic but fine while on the open road. So I stop and the first thing I check is the coolant level and it looks good but when I look at the cap I notice that seal around the pressure fitting is cracked and coming apart. So I head out to the parts store and get a new cap and rent a coolant system pressure tester. Now I need to bleed my coolant system. ![]() I've can anyone give me a good walk through of a bleeding on a '88 944 turbo. |

Update
I found a walk through but it says to open the hight point vent on the coolant nozzle. Where is that? |

I'm pretty sure it's on the outlet neck. You might also want to make sure that your fans are working.

Clarks-garage.com is your friend when you are new and learning. Hell even some of the older guys use it for reference every now and then.

I don't bother opening the bleeder, and never had any issues. I may have screwed with it 2 or 3 times, many years ago, but that's about it.
