Wierd electrical issue: Gauges twitch when boost comes on

Well,
The title kind of says it all. The details are: The temperature gauge and the oil pressure gauge, twitch when boost comes on. I suspect a short in the engine wire harness. I have been slowly replacing the connectors on my engine wire harness, I have done the injector connectors, knock sensor, DME temp connectors so far. The results have been fantastic. The car runs much better than before: better idle more power etc. Makes me wonder how it was running at all before. What I suspect is that I will have to be digging deeper. The question is what should be next? And how do I go about testing for an exact cause instead of the "replace all suspecting connections" scatter gun approach? Oh ya, the car is a 1987 951, stock turbo with older Authority chips. If I could find one, I would for sure consider buying a whole new wire engine harness. Any advice would be appreciated.

the connector for the oil pressure gauge is under the car on the passenger side near the front and can be accessed from below with the batwing removed. i'd check the connection there.

electrical issues are a time sink to chase down.

Here's another odd electrical gremlin for you....airbag and master caution flash when the boost hits the preset limit (currently 16.5lbs), and yes, the same gremlin appears at whatever level the boost limit is set to. Checked all the wiring, and there is nothing grafted into the airbag harness.
