Hybrid BOV test & questions

Hi. Few months ago I bought an Hybrid BOV. Model is same as the Forge Hybrid BOV.

I tried installing it with recirculation wich work. I have my boost but i dont ear the pshhhhh. Probably the valve dont 50/50. More air in the jboot.

Then i tried installing it 100% atmo. I install it with the adjustement stifness at 1/2. Ive also plug the empty jboot hole. Ive my vaccuum get to 0 on my gauge but no boost. So i open the hood, crank the bov adjustement to 3/4 I have my boost, no stall.. Nothing wrong except still dont ear the pshhhhh.

What is wrong.. Why i dont ear this damn pshhhh!

i am curious if you are using this with the stock factory dme. if you are, it will negatively affect the air/fuel mixture every time you go off/on throttle, because the dme is expecting recirculating air that will not be there if it vents to atmosphere.

also, if you plugged the hole in the jboot, how are you recirculating 50/50? i would think with the jboot hole plugged it will vent 100% to atmosphere always.

do you have a photo of this installed in your car?

Put a proper MAF kit on your car, recirculate the BOV. You will easily hear the re-circulation valve, and the car will run correctly... Here is an example, and driving pretty easily too:

Nize. Ive the 300rwhp kit from lindsey racing installed so both the dme and klr have the chips replaced. They are not stock. The first try was with the bov set to hybrid mode. Was suppose toreject 50% in the air and 50% to the jboot. I never eard the air in the atmo. So i supposed most of the air was gettinginto the jboot. The try after i set the bov to 100% atmo. This is why i plgued the jboot hole. But i still eard no sound.. Thats weird. While normal driving my airfuel mix was ok. Hope its more clear now. sry about that.

Rogue. MAF is the next step. But I cant figure why i dont ear anything.. Thats weird.

Thanks for the replies.

You should definitely hear something with it vented to atmosphere.

Double-check your vacuum line to the BOV, and that BOV it isn't stuck artificially.
