993 headlamp upgrade options?

I see that our host sells the PORSCHE litronics for $4300 (each!). Looking for the best alternative to improve the standard (H5?) lamps. Thank you.

Multiple threads on rennlist covering this upgrade question. Bregvill FX is a popular option for non litrnonics. All 993 options (excluding Gunther's retro design) are limited by the lens housing from the 90's. While improvements can be made to the bulb, they will all pale in comparison to current headlight technology / designs. So set you expectations accordingly. Better yes, but still lacking.

I retrofitted this bixenon HID kit and absolutely LOVE it. The updated projectors/glass lenses gives a provided an extremely crisp cutoff line and overall the entire setup delivers a massive improvement over stock halogens. And the entire setup is ~$400.

2nd that, TT Litronic “upgrade” is 90’s tech and lacking when compared to even Econ-o-box headlights of modern cars.
