Rear Engine Deck - Are there different versions?

Hey,

At the moment I have a fixed spoiler in place where the electric one should be.
When I got the car it came with a complete rear deck with the electric spoiler, but upon closer inspection I noticed there were differences between the 2 lids/Decks

The main wire is routed different and more obvious is where the light and lock bar are fitted, as its a different profile

Are there different versions of the lid between the years?
I am just wondering are they interchangeable, or should I just move the electric spoiler to my current lid, or will it even fit?

My car is a 91 C2.

Maybe a bit difficult to see on the pictures but the lock area circled in Red is different and the top where I have marked in Red is also a different profile.

Cheers
Alex

Currently on the car

In 1991 Porsche switched from the old round latch with a spring tensioned single pin to the newer latch type. In 92 the latch became the switch for the alarm and light as well. The 91 should have the lid latch you show and AFAIK all are interchangable. Just the two bolts on the lid. The lower lid looks modified for some reason.

I might be mistaken but the lower lid looks to be 993 and not 964 so if that is the case they are not interchangeable. The 993 lid is shorter than the 964 lid.

Hey,

Big thanks for your reply and another user also mentioned exactly the same that it was probably a 993 lid, but I hope that the electric spoiler will fit..

I hope I can sell the 993 lid without the electric spoiler.

Thanks for comments and help

Regards

Alex
