WOT Switch Question

The cam is refusing to operate this switch. Tried to adjust mounting position of the switch but it didn't help. It operates fine by hand, so I suspect the switch or the brass actuator leaf is faulty. Just wanted to throw this out there before ordering a new assembly or possibly adding a small bump of solder to the underside of the leaf. Common issue? Engine from a MY 91.

Update: It appears these switches are not being read at the DME anyway. I jumped the plug pins in the engine compartment and still no reading at the DME. Probably been this way since I owned the car. I have an issue with occasional poor running at startup but I don't think this is the cause anyway. Tackle this one another day.
