Searching for DBW pedal mounting solution
I'm toying with going DBW as part of a larger engine rebuild/Motec project. This is going into a RHD 964. There doesn't appear to be many, if any, off the shelf solutions readily available as far as I can tell.
Has anyone achieved this without replacing the entire pedal box, or willing to share some advice around the pedal of choice and fitment please? I'm hoping to avoid the 997 style chrome pedal and keep it low bling. Thanks! |

My neighbour has just completed a 917 replica and used a Boxster DBW pedal assembly. From memory it was quite cheap and an easy install. The connector was a VW part which I could find out if needed. It was a RHD build.

Wow, a 917 replica would be quite an awesome thing to have as a toy. I'm mostly interested in how to adapt a pedal to a RHD 964 chassis but a Boxster pedal is a good place to start.
Thanks! |

There are various DBW throttle actuators on the market. BMW Toyota even Porsche make one. I used the standard cable to the engine bay and then mounted the actuator which is cable driven to the tub then interface with the throttle body. It has been a while so i don't recall which unit was used.

I've come across the '04 Honda cable actuator, that might be the go.
Thanks |
