Radio Amplifier connection help

When I had my new windshield installed, the installers could not get the wire off the booster hidden under the windshield on the right side
after trying for several hours. They used a crimp on connector which isn't doing the job as reception is poor.

I tried to get the wire unplugged from the amplifier so I could solder a good connection but cannot get it off either.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

it’s not just a straight pull, there’s usually a small locking tab that needs to be pressed or lifted before it will release.
