Ride height with H/R struts

I'm not familiar with ride height adjustment and H&R struts/ springs.
There is an adjustable spring perch and then 2 other threaded
adjusters under it. Below that is the sway bar mount which is also threaded for up and down travel.
My question is, I want to raise the ride height by about 1/2 inch.
Can I just bring the threaded perch adjusters up, snug all
3 adjusters and leave the sway bar adjuster where it is?
Any help would be appreciated.

First is that a 993 you're working on? And second you say H&R struts and springs, would that be the same as coilovers? That's what they look like. If so I might could offer some general advice as I have that set up on my 993.

Sorry, should have been more specific. I bought this 97 C4S with the H&R kit installed so I'm not familiar with the stock set-up.
It's just so low that I have to be really careful on almost any speed bump etc.
I just don't know about the realtionship of the sway bar mount and it's position relative to the perch for the springs. Also, what are the other two threaded adjusters under the spring perch?

Thanks for any help.

Do you have H&R shocks/struts ?? or is that a set of H&R springs on Bilstein shocks/struts?? Either way, they are adjustable for height to a certain extent. If the height is adjusted, you will have to have the car realigned. so, probably best to have one shop do it all.

regarding the rings. one is a jamb-nut to keep the spring perch from turning, the other is a jamb-nut against the sway bar attachment mount.

993 board

you may want to post on the rennlist 993 board as to a shop in your area. ( i know there are a LOT of guys who post from the Bay area)

good luck,
max

My 993 C2S came with H&R coilovers, which may be what you have. My car came lowered to RS height and I had wanted to raise it slightly for the same reason you stated.

I had raise one side and then figured out with the help of others that as Max said the car would have to be realigned and corner balanced. Even if you raise each corner the same number of turns it will not be correct because the spring rate of the front and rear spring are not the same.

I decided to leave it at the RS ride height. My car came with a front protection bar and I suggest if you don't have one to go ahead and get one. My car is not a daily driver so it's not that big of a deal being as low as it is. If I ever need to get it corner balance and re-aligned I might have them raise it slightly, but no more than 1/2 ".

I second Max's suggestion to post your question on the rennlist 993 board.

OK Guys, thanks for the help. I'm going to leave if for a suspension shop. It makes sense that there are 2 jam nuts, one for the spring perch, the other for the sway bar mount. I should have seen that right off. I can live with the height for now as it does not really cause any problems.
