The general answer is no. However lowering spring perches are available as an after market item, but then you might just as well change out the springs as the work is the same. I did mine, and it wasn't as daunting a job as you might think, took my a few days and a little head scratching but it worked out ok.

On my 85 Carrera you could change the ride height by adjusting two screws that were built into the front cross-member. I would've thought the 964 would be similar?

964 is not the same as 911

I knew it was a odd question when I posted it. I emailed an Ebay seller about his setup. Here's my question(s) and his reply:
Question(s): Porsche : 911 Carrera C4 1989 Porsche Carrera C4 964 How was the suspension setup? Spings/shocks/struts manufacturer & type/model? Spring rate? Thanks. Reply: The shocks and struts are all O.E. They are adjusted to ride height of (front) 13 1/8 (back) 13 1/8. The stock ride height is 14 7/8 for the front and 14 1/4 in the rear.

What I have heard it can only be lowered very little 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
It is best to replace the springs to lowered springs (HR or Eibach) I used HR for mine and it rides very well. Just look up www.hrsprings.com and look up the model you need. Hope this helps |

I believe the threaded shock bodies are to fine tune the corner weighting and not used to actually drop the car as many after market coil over conversions do. The springs should be used to do the actual drop of the ride height.

You are correct, they should be used for corner weighting and fine tuning the suspension. Lowered springs for lowering the ride height. |

jtkkz,
Did you change the struts and shocks also? Or did you let the car set on shorter springs which works from a visual standpoint.
