1999 911 C2 Making squeaking noise

Any help will be greatly appreciated! I have had a squeaking noise on my rear left side since I bought my car a few weeks ago. I thought that it might be bearings or belts so I took it to a repair shop and they replaced both, but I am still having a squeaking noise. The noise is most noticeable when at idle, but when you accelerate above 3-4 RPM's the noise disappears. The mechanic that replaced the belts and bearings thinks that the noise is coming from the valve cover. Does anyone know what inside the valve cover could be making this noise?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for the information. I have an appointment with a Porsche specialist on Wednesday so hopefully they don't beat me up too bad. The guy on the phone thinks that it could be a rocker arm, but said that is totally a guess and that his expert could tell me for sure on Wednesday. I will keep everyone posted.

Still haven't figured out what is causing the chirping noise. I haven't been driving it and it is killing me, but don't want to make matters worse. When you put the stethascope to the engine it seems that it is coming from the water pump area. I am kind of leaning towards this component. Not sure if this is normal, but it seems that my engine gets very hot after I have been driving it for a while.
