1994 993 engine stalling problem

Can anyone help ? Recently brought a 993 C2 (1994) , untuned, standard set-up. Engine has been stalling randomly two or three times every couple of days. No miss fires, just completely stops. Takes 7 or 8 attempts to restart, whilst trying to start engine does not fire at all, then when starts runs perfectly! It stalls both when idling and when driving along. Have checked eletrical connections and earths etc., but unable to identify a problem.

I'll second what Cow says, I've always carried a DME relay in my 84 and have one in my 'new to me' 95 993
