My onboard computer thinks its 32 F when it is around 70 F. So my ac will not work. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this? thanks

You have three possibilities for failure.

1. Mixing chamber temp sensor is faulty. There are two of these sensors, located in the top of the HVAC housing. They are long probes. A repair kit is available from Porsche

2. THe interior sensor on your AC control unit is bad. You can get at this by removing the AC control unit.

3. Your control unit itself if bad.

The outside temp. sensor is located inside the left rear view mirror housing. I don't think the misreading has anything to do with your AC.

My outside temp sensor was in the right hand mirror. Strange? Discovered how to remove mirror by tilting the top edge back and using a small screwdriver to rotate the locking ring about 1/4 inch counter clockwise. Pulled the sensor and then put in back in. Now all is well with my temp reading.

thanks for the info

Mike,
I have the temp sensor repair kit, (OEM-96461894300 TEMP SENSOR KIT ) but do not see where it goes, can you take a picture of the placement? Thanks!
