91 Turbo headlamp debug

My 1991 964 Turbo's brights are pointing very high. I've tried to adjust but the mechanism appears to be broken. After looking through all of the docs that I can find other than the workshop manuals, there seems to be a lot of variaties of headlights on the 964s.

Mine has one screw on the bottom that releases an oval trim ring. The ring is solid, not broken on the bottom. After removing this, it reveals four screws. There are markings on the lenses that denote F and A/ horz. and vert. near each screw.

Playing with my good headlight, these screws seem to be adjusts for the brights (F) and the normal lights (A). These screws seem to be spinning in their sockets and not doing anything in my malfunctioning headlight.

I'd like to pull the headlight and see if I can fix the adjustment screws but I see no means to remove the headlight. Do one of the adjustment screws also serve as a mounting screw? Or is there another way to release the headlight.

Thanks for any help.

Chris

Sorry fellas, I pulled the trigger too soon. After doing more reading and looking through service receipts, it turns out that I have Bosch H1 headlamps. The mounting screw is the same piece that the trim screws into.

After looking at it, my bright up/down was disconnected. It uses a spring like mechanism to connect the adjustment screw to the actual adjustment rig. The spring lets it take a U-turn mechanically. Mine had come loose. I'm not sure how it's bonded but it appears to be soldered. Instead of doing that, I used pliers to turn the adjustment and make it very close to the other headlamp.

If I need to adjust, I'll just have to remove the lamp.
