New Member-Two Questions

I hope you can help...
I am in the process of removing my interior (cashmere to black swap) and noticed a strand of three small guage wires were cut near the dash. They run down the drivers side sill to the back of the car and it passes through to the engine bay on the passenger side. They are light blue, light green and light brown encased in a black covering. I was unable to find anything under the dash just "hanging."

I get a fan noise from the engine bay on start up. It turns itself off after about 3-5 minutes of running. What is it and where is it located? Sounds like a bad bearing in the fan motor.

Thanks for your help
Randy

Probably the air pump for the secondary air injection. It pumps air into the exhaust port of each cylinder at start-up. This causes a lean burn condition that helps combust any unburned fuel, and helps to heat up the catlytic converters quicker.
IIRC, it is more like a minute or two.

Yes, pics and accurate color coding are necessary.
