have a 97 911 C2 105000 miles on it , would like to know what oil people are using . Live in Vancouver BC .

A good question would be where can you guys find this stuff. Neither my local Kragens or Walmart has the 15-50 Mobile 1.

I'm using 15w/40 street and 15w/50 track Mostly M1, but Shell is often reasonably priced, aklways synthetic.
No cold weather useage.

Used oil analysis is the only way to determine whether or not an oil is doing it's job. I have done extensive testing and found that a 15w40 such as Chevron Delo or Shell Rotella T gave the best wear rates of regular dino oil. M1 0w40 or Redline 5w40 would be tops for the 993. Higher viscsoity oils are not recommended by Porsche and the top end can suffer if it is used.

rsquad, i have never seen a 15w40 Motul 300V...i know they have a 10w40...terrific stuff...quite pricey and similair to Redline in performance.
