Number crunching

Guys,

I am more into 911; but this should be easy for the collective intelligence on this site:

A 911 (964) 3.6 liter Turbo Cabriolet (Convertible) from 1991 with sport suspension and electric hood from factory is that possible?

Thanks,

Michel

1991 turbo would be 3.3. The 3.6 turbo was introduced in 1993, and I am not aware of any 964 turbo cabs at all. There are certainly turbo-look cabs, but they would start at 1992.

Is this a theoretical question, or are you referring to an actual car? If the latter, the VIN will be the best starting point for figuring out what it is.

Well, I know one here in the Netherlands.
It is a 965 cab. 3.3 Turbo (and it is bloody fast too..)

Maybe the 965 cabs were all build as a special wish from customers (sure rich customers..).

It is possible that it is a special wishes car, but it would have substantial documentation to verify.

Otherwise, it is a frankenporsche

Guys, thanks. The story continuous. The dealership (BMw) garage confirmed it is a 964 C2 1991 with TurboLOOK and not Turbo. 250HP.
Wide body kit + turbo-brakes, +turbo running gear except engine. (still 3.6)
Plus a whole bunch of other stuff but installed at factory.
The Chassis number confirms it to be a 1991, 964 RoW.

They are asking 31.900Euro for it (41.000 USD at current exchange). Car has got FPSH and 77k Km's

Give me your opinion on value of the car based on that information and or what to look out for. You can be rude
I do not mind.

Thanks

Michel

Hello Vereeken,

Hmmm, is a lot of money... You can find a neat 993 as well in Belgium as in Holland....

€ 27000,- seems a more realistic pricing in mine humble opinion..

Good luck,
