Another remote programming question... 1997 993
Hi, this is my first post but I have been lurking here and using the info for some time, much appreciated.
I have read the article that I found linked-to several times regarding the programming of new remotes for the "drive-block" equipped cars. I am trying to adapt a new remote to a 1997 Carerra Cabriolet and I cannot get the vehicle to enter the "tuning mode" where it will accept new remotes. I have followed the steps outlined in the P-car article to the letter and still no luck. Can anyone shed some light on the procedure for adding remotes to this car? ![]() Thanks in advance. -Paul |

1. The alarm light MUST go off after 15 seconds once the key is turned on.
2. The alarm light MUST start to blink after 15 seconds once the key is turned off then on. Problems with the ignition switch, e.g. sticking, bad contacts, will prevent programming even though the engine starts O.K.
