Ok great guys, this will be fun.

Go ahead & place your orders when you're ready: Paypal to Porschesolutions@gmail.com

$136 (includes shipping) for the Beru wires: please specify in your message when you send funds the year & make of your car, & the color you prefer: Black, Red, or Blue.

Or, if you want the economy set, it's $106 (includes shipping) and ensure you mention your car year, make, & color choice in the Paypal message area. I hope to order the bulk materials today to make wires this weekend & ship out on Monday (all sets). I will be taking more orders at this price throughout this week: i just had to make a minimum amount to make it worth my time. Thanks! Mark

Garage
Mark, I'm interested in a set for my 993 but I have a question first.

A couple of years ago I replaced the wires on my 964. I thought about doing the wires only but went with the complete Beru set. After I replaced them, I tried to separate the boots from the wires on the old set. On several of the wires, I ended up breaking the wire inside the boot where the terminal is crimped, leaving the terminal stuck inside the boot. This seemed to happen mostly on the lower wires on the plug side.

If I go with your wires and this happens, it looks like a royal PITA to get the broken off parts out. I'd like to hear your comments.

Thanks,

Shawn

IT's almost easier at that Point: use a pair of small needle-nose pliers and unscrew the terminal from the inside of the boot. The trick is, you need to use a toothpick to slide down between the wire & the boot to break the "seal", and use a drop of Armor-all down in there as well as a lubricant. Run the toothpick around 360 degrees to break the bond formed from time & heat. Then it'll simply & easily unscrew. Email me at Porschesolutions@gmail.com & I'll forward you over the installation sheet.

Numbered?

Hi Mark

Is each cable printed with it's number along it's length, as per the original cables? i.e 1-1, 1-2 etc.

Cheers

Rich

Sorry no, cable numbering is proprietary to Porsche, or other Mfr's who request it. I've already asked.

Guys, I'm starting tonight on the wires: will be MUCH easier for me to do all my wire making in steps, which requires me knowing who's getting wires shipped out next week or so.

I don't have much time during the week, mucho busy: 7am-10pm days. Please get your orders in if you have not yet. Thanks!!

Mark

Ha ha, funny Nick. You were paid for your spoiler. I will "give" it to you, but on my terms as I have a weekend commitment to these 964/993 gentlemen.

If you read my last post, I'm a busy guy. Demanding that I lie to UPS does not sway my sail for free up any time for me.

If I can get to it this weekend I will, I still need to find a suiteable box as the box(es) were quite damaged when it was sent back to me.

Mark

It appears you do plan to publicly continue this. Ok.

1. I offered a rare spoiler for sale at about 1/3 retail
2. You purchased it.
3. I boxed it up in a double-box with 2 layers of cardboard to protect it, suspending it in the box & wrapping the ends in towels/sheets/blankets for protection.
4. UPS stepped on it, breaking it in 1/2.
5. I filed a claim & they paid it (mostly unprecidented), for which I refunded your $ promptly.
6. I now have a damaged spoiler & you have your $ back. UPS wants the spoiler now as part of the claim, though I have not had time yet to prepare it for them.

Please be patient. I have not yet decided to go against UPS's claim prerequisite to have the spoiler returned to them.

Mark
