Converting power door locks back to manual?

I've got power door locks on my 93 911. The small control unit mounted under the passenger seat has a short in it which drains the battery. Is it possible without too much work and multiple parts to convert back to manual door locks on this car? Thanks in advance. Bill

As far as the locking function itself, I think all you need is to change the latch mechanism in the doors and possibly need a throw lever on the right side outer door handle.
The alarm / starting function may be a whole other problem though.
