Question Replacing Horns on a 964

Seems like an easy fix, but where are the horn(s) located and how do I get to them on a '91 911 c-2?

I've removed the bottom panels, as well as the front lower lamps on the passenger side, which is where they sound like they're located, and all I see there is a fan. Looked from inside the boot and only see steel walls.

Thanks in advance!

Bart

You need to remove the passenger side wheel liner. They're higher up than where you're looking.

Wow! they really are tucked up there! When I remove the inner fender skirt, will they be reachable? Thank your!

Instead of replacing them, just fix them. It isn't that hard, the directions I wrote will guide you through it. If you have questions, let me know.

Alternative horn suggestion

Thanks for a great post, the pictures really helped a ton. I fixed my problem (ended up being the 23R) but also changed out for a pair of Italian 135 db "snail-shell" horns from Autozone ($29.99 pr.). I'll keep the squeekers in case somebody wants to put it back to stock, but I like the lower tone of the new horns.

Thx again.
