Cool deleteing the A/C hoses RSA and another A/C question

Hi guys..the wife will be gone all week i took the hot rod to the island where i have lots of room to work so i am going to start tearing out crap..already took out the condenser now i take out the compressor..how in the H_____ do i take out the hoses or do i just cut them out of there?

secondly how do i take off the a/c and air/heat control module?

also how (i have all the books ...but you know how that goes...i need to buy 30 years worth of factory books to get the answer)......anyway i am an eganeeeeer type of dude..so i can read wiring diagrams..but help me out here how to i disable it with a switch and also retain the speedo data since the ABS feeds the speedo....

and i have a damn abs light on but the ABS works..what's up with that?

and of course my airbag blew the ....._____ out when i just bumped someone..kinda in my way....that was fun....so i need to take it out and put in a cover...so is there a wire i need to connect, pull up/down to a voltage level through a resistor?...iiiii eeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! thanks people....

So many questions, so little time.

Don't cut anything, people will pay dearly for those parts. Some pictures of your progress with help that situation out.

Removing the module is easy if you have the right tool (might be the same as the radio removal tool) but then you have a gaping hole. You could leave it there unless you are looking for maximum weight loss, it might weight 1.5 lbs.

On my car the speedo uses a sensor on the transmission. Need to know year and model of your car to be sure.

ABS light comes on for several reasons, low voltage to the unit, low pressure (a tiny leak somewhere) or a loose connection at one wheel - and it will seem like the system is working fine. There may be a trouble code associated with this.

You can find a replacement airbag on eBay or go buy a new one, it is cheap insurance. Just be sure to disconnect the battery before you connect the "potentially" hot 12V wire to the airbag, otherwise it might go boom.

deleteing the A/C hoses RSA and another A/C question Well i never really intended to cut them unless i get pissed i'll take the wheel off and see if i can see a disconeect...amnd i may want to keep them but up here the great NW..no need...i am keeping my sun roof..not that anal..i like the sun through the trees and the sound of the note coming in through it.....(but there will be a bolt in cross brace above my head...an't dat stoopid....

regarding the ac panel..or no i'm leaving it in...cuz i NEED it..i just want to take it out and inspect it...cuz i get this Very INTERMITTENT...GOES AWAY FOR MONTHS THEN COMES BACK FOR A MONTH THEN gone AGAIN...WHERE A FAN COMES ON AND IT CAN BE STEADY BUT NEVER FAST....oops caps lock sorry wasn't paying attention...so it sometimes speeds up slows down or just acts ceazy but will only once in a while zoom up to a high speed but then back to "idle" diving me crazy and the controls don' effect it...so i am going through the whole chain to see if i can find a short or something....iiiie3eeee!!!!!!

Slash and burn

After nearly 35 years of owning - modifying Porshes I strongly recommend you do not "cut", slash and burn your way through the car. Take the time and disassemble in a more reasonable pace. I can almost guarantee that you will someday, for a yet to be determined reason, wish you had access to some of the components you ripped out with those Chanel-Locks or Sawz-All!
