Engine running way too rich - What can be wrong ??

Hi -
Just had my transplanted 1995 993 tested on a dyno. Max power showed 250hp/317Nm and and A/F showed way too rich from 5000rmp and up. Last year it did 270hp/342Nm. No changes since then.

Engine is stock except for the exhaust which is something homemade based on a flowmaster muffler and no cat. KN airfilter which is nice and clean

Any ideas what can suddenly cause this loss of power ? (Im thinking injectors, MAF sensor...)

The guy testing this is also specializing in remapping ECU and suggested naturally that he could do a customized remapping using the dyno to correct the A/F and other things as well.

Anybody having tried to have done a customized remapping ??

Peter

The head temperature sender on the drivers side foreward end . The sender thinks it is cold and adjusts the mixture rich like a choke would. I had this happen and found mine hard to start when warm and you could smell the rich mixture when running. I think Porsche also enrichens the upper RPM mixtures to cool the cats
