cold air intake
I have a 1995 911/993. Has anyone installed a cold air intake on this car before? I can't seem to locate a search for this car anywhere. K&N doesn't seem to make one....does anyone know differently? Thanks.

Cold air intake
I think this is a piece from a 993 twin turbo air filter housing. It may be available from the dealer.

IIRC, the factory cold air intake is designed to be used with a fixed tail.

Keep it stock, & throw in a K&N type filter, or get the Motorsound airbox from the dealer for $100. There are no HP gains in the airbox.

At speed the engine cooling fan moves so much air through the engine compartment that an additional cold air mechanism isn't necessary.

Hai
If the engine needs more cold air, intake funnels emerge from the rear pillars

There are tails with ducts that go to the intercoolers, I believe, on the 993 GT2. Cold air intakes are not really necessary and can compromise air filtration, allowing dirt into the engine.
