C4 Drive Issue... Slipping... Clutch or Diff?

Hello All,

I have a '90 C4 and clutch was replaced abt a year ago. 10k miles since.

A few days back, I noticed a lot of drag on the drive train, as if I was driving with handbrake on.

Today, when I drive, I feel a lot of slippage and then a loud konk!

The clutches in the center diff, do they wear out? And would they exhibit such symptoms? Or if friction material on the engine clutch worn out? I have a RS flywheel setup.

Or could it be the coupler for the drive to the front has loosened?

Thanks for any help!

Sprint.
