New control arms cleaned up and clear coated. Walrod bushings installed. All going in this week with new beefy front sway bar, tie rod roll pins and stiffer motor mounts. Woo Hoo!

RS, what do you mean by "a second pair of lower control arms should tighten things up a bit"? A second pair? How many control arms do you have?

BTW, if you think German suspension is "soft and lazy", try an American built car. They are the kings of marshmallow rides. Hell an everyday VW Golf has a nicer and firmer ride than what the US car industry puts in their so called sporty cars.

I just bought a spare set to "molest" so I can take the stock ones off the car and put away like all other OE parts removed from the car to be sold with the car when time comes. Spare control arms were plastic blasted to remove Cosmoline and undercoating varnish.

After 10 years as a Senior Designer for the American (and Asian) OEs, I agree about the soft and lazy characteristics of previous American cars. Will not compare, but previous fun car was this:

Last minute taskes before Porsche Parade week.

Special thanks to Black Forest Racing for getting me in on an hour's notice when I discovered I have a few hours to spare. I sprinted up there when they said they could help me out and ushered me into a bay upon arrival. Four hours later I had the thicker sway bar, alternate control arms with new Walrod bushings, and motor mounts all installed. Ending result is a very fun spirited drive down to Hilton Head the following day. The car feels like new. Very tight, responsive and gives the impression it can turn on a dime at 80.

which rims are on your car?

They are Victor Racing Innsbruk. Bought to be used as a second set for the track as they are forged, lightweight (18x11 rears are less than 20lbs!) correct aggressive offset (no spacers)and look nice but may be selling them for something different.
If you are interested, let me know. Will sell them with the Bridgestone 050s already mounted and balanced for a fair price.

Tie rod roll pins installed last night! Not much to look at but hope to feel a difference when I take the car out this weekend after doing brakes.

Picked up new set of ceramic pads from the dealership. Will give a review as soon as I have one. Supposed to have great stopping power, no noise and low dust. Too good to be true?

What is the size of the H&R front sway bar that you used? Is it the 26mm? Did it reduce ride quality on bumps or harsh pavement. I have new Koni HD shocks and M033 springs on my C4S. It rides great but I wouldn't mind reducing a little body roll.

Yes, 26mm and yes, reduced body roll. Have not taken it to the track yet, but around town and long sweepers it feels more level. (However it could be from the many other things I did as well)

Nice work on the gauges! Are they white with black bezels? Did you use North Hollywood for the work?
