wow, looks spectacular. One of my favorite color combo's. What did you do to the headlights, clean(and how) or replace?

thanks

Replaced with new lenses, bulbs and added Headlight Armor. Word to wise: it took three tries as the "blue tint" is far too blue, the "light smoke" is far too dark so I went with clear.

(Note the factory option of the push and slide "cassette" holder. Apparently, a Kass'Eht. was a tool used to record and play music. Replaced with OE console pocket.

What kind of jack stands are you using? Did you have some sort of retrofit you did for the plate?

Neither. It may have not been the best way to go, but I simply positioned the jack stands so that the inside of the top hat nested in the "German Holes".

Oddly enough, I am developing a protoype to be used for a better and more stable setup.

Updated all OE bulbs, interior and exterior with LED, most were buned out in gauges...

very nice work.

Really a great job. I may have to put those LEDs in my SC.

Nice, now add a couple of turbos and you'll be just fine!

bri450sl 02-13-2011 06:49 AM

How do you keep the "top hat" on your brake disks so clean? Mine has a good amount of surface rust which looks terrible. I was thinking of painting them. Did you paint yours or do you have some sort of secret to stop them from showing surface rust?

I think your horn problem is related to the airbag mounting . I read that there is an inexpensive (< $100) mounting bracket which wears and allows the bag to move causing horn to honk. Search

I dont think so.
The airbag was removed and will remain with the stock steering wheel in storage. I used a 3 ohm resistor to close the circut as found on Rennlist assistance.

LOL....still in process....and very may well be for the next few years. After being spoiled with new cars for the past decade, this "old car" stuff is almost as tough as building a street rod!

I have Speedline Datona, 993 RS, 3.6 Turbo and Alessio centers available for a special widebody build. Jim jdorociak@gmail.com
