Oil temp sensor

Anybody knows where the oil temperature sensor is on a 1993 964? Is it in the oil tank or in the oil cooler in the front? My oil temp is getting stuck at the last temp reading on the temp gauge when I turn the engine off. It does not go back to zero either when I turn the engine ON.

the pressure and temp senders are on the top of the block next to the cc vent
