993 MFI backlighting
Would someone out there be willing to pull their DME relay (relay 53) and see if the backlighting on the MFI display in the tach goes out. Every light on my car works except the MFI display backlighting and with my setup I'm not running a DME relay so I wondered if this may be the cause. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also when should my display light up? My wife's S4 display lights up as soon as you open the door. Also does it dim when you turn on the lights? Thanks again.

What does MFI stand for here? I only know of MFI as Mechanical Fuel Injection, which was only used on early cars and race cars up until the 80s.

I think thats the term for the multi function indicator in the tach. I could be wrong though. Mine works as far as the digital speedo, outside temp and so forth but it's very hard to see. I guess I should have just asked a more direct question anyway, Does anyone know what is responsible for controling the backlighting on the digital display in the tach? I'm just guessing about the DME relay.
Thanks.

OK, sorry. I can't help with that. There have been some guys who used 993 blocks for big, racy MFI engines so I was just a little curious.
