Another Wheel question for Bill V.

Will I be able to fit 997 Carrera III 8's and 10's to my NB 993? Just wanted to make sure...

I think that those wheels are 8x19ET57 & 10x19ET58, if so then yes they will fit. You'll need ~5mm spacers in front though and ride height will also be limited

Sorry Bill, the wheels are 8x18's and 10x18's. The fronts are 57mm offset. I don't know the rears. Thanks for your help.

Ok, same answer, If they are the BBS 5 spoke Carrera 3 8x18 ET57 you will want to use ~ 5mm spacers in front and 10x18 E58 fits fine in back but limits how low the car can be, its fine down to ~ RoW M030 height

I'm back, after a fast course in Porsche wheel size/names and what doesn't fit my NB 993. So now I'm with tire questions. What tire size should I go with? 225 or 235 40-18 fronts and 265 or 285 rears? Again, I bought 997 Carrera III wheels, 5 spoke BBS 8 and 10's x 18. I'm so clueless....

The safest choice is 225/40 & 265/35,

The 10ET58 rears stick out 7mm more than usual which will limit how low and how wide a rear tire you can use.

w/ 10ET65 a 285/30 just barely clears.

the other issue is f/r tire height, again 225/40 and 265/35 are a fairly safe choice and are what the factory has used.

Thanks Bill. I will play it safe with what you suggest, 225/40 & 265/35. I do plan on lowering with Eibach spring etc. Thanks again!!

I have Carrera IIIs on my NB. My 993 is on ROW M030 springs and have no issues whatsoever. I would not run 285 like Bill said. Spacers not necessary on the front.

My ride height is pretty low...barely one finger gap on the fender. No rubbing front nor rear, full left right travel. I will try to post some pics if there's interest.
