964 C4 system tester options
I read recently a post, i thought it was here, about the software that is now
available for laptops that works in lieu of the Bosch system tester 9288 "hammer" [since it is NLA and used ones are cost prohibitive] for the 964 C4 PDAS. Anyone know anything on this subject? Sources? And, of course, if there is a "hammer" out there someone wants to sell me, reasonably, that would be great. Thanks! Nic

The Scantool windows PC software is free and made by a Rennlister member years ago. It can't bleed the C4 ABS, but do all other stuff available in the 964/993 control units, including PDAS.
Durametric also does the trick, but have a cost. I sell an USB-based interface made for Scantool, and also have the software available for download on my web page. Cheers, Tore |

I bought a durametric kit (actually a refurbished one) at a good price and is happy with it.

Yup-the PDT999 seems like a good replacement for the hammer.
Read the manual and it looks like it covers most of the aspects. thanks all Nic
