Part Number Question (speed nuts)
Hi all
Could anyone help me find the part number for the speed nuts installed in the front fenders that are used to bolt the fenders to the chassis? I fount the smaller ones on the bottom of the fenders that bolt the plastic pieces on and the front bumper. The ones in the top of the fenders are larger. TIA |

Can you post pics of the area or speed nuts you're referring to? Are you talking about the ones at the top of the fender liner that have an extra piece over the top that prevents the end of the fastener from contacting any of the lines up there?
Once you post an example of which speed nut you're looking for, it may be a good idea to cross-post this to the 911 technical board, since many times these parts are not 964.xxx.xx.xx parts, they're 999.xxx.xx.xx parts that are used throughout various models, including the older 911s. |

Why not call your local Porsche dealer and ask. If they don't know or can't find the part, they can call Porsche North America.
Easy! |

They are the ones located along it inside of the fenders noted with the red dots in the pic. They look similar to number 22 but are larger.

$1/each from the forum host. Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW or you can google the part # 99959148602 and see what you find. |

Vandit,
I thought that was it too and ordered them. They were way too small. The ones that hold the bumper to the fender along the bottom are smaller than the ones at the top of the fender that hold the fender to the body. Last edited by 1993 Carrera 2; 12-19-2012 at 10:45 AM.. Reason: Spelling |

See if you can get some pictures and maybe measurements using a caliper and cross-post this to the 911 Technical board.

I think your question was answered on the 911 Technical board, but here's hopefully the same answer from a difference source.
