poor run condition

My love affair with my 89 c4 has gone terribly awry. The car with 100000 on the clock ran faultlessly for the first 300 miles of my new ownership. Now, when the car hits a small, jarring bump the engine almost ceases, it idles way down to almost stalling, power is nill, accelerating at this point helps but only after the motor decides to snap out of it, and frustration of all frustrations is, when it does snap out, it decides to run fine until another errant bump and back to the loss of power, idling down, hassle, hassle. I put techron in the tank before these problems. I have refilled the tank with fresh, clean fuel. Engine temperature monitor? Distributor belt slippage? Any ideas enthusiasts? I want my Maserati back.

The fact that a bump causes the problem leads me to believe it's electrical in nature, as if the bump causes a ground wire to loose connection in one of the harness looms or something of this nature. This may be challenging to diagnose, you must be able to recreate the jarring while checking for voltages, etc.

D- Might be a lot of things but, I recently had to change out my central electric board "relay panel" in the front due to a similar behavior. On mine the inside fan and a few other things would cut out after a bump in the road. I'd poke around in fuse panel by pressing down on the board and jiggling things to see if you can recreate this condition at home. The panel has been upgraded? to a 993 P/N and the change out is scary at first but the panel connectors are well marked and the job took about an hour and cost USD 150.00. If alls well in the panel look to the ground straps on the tranny and battery.
