Question 993 Cabriolet top issues

I love my new 97 Cab, EXCEPT for the creaking and groaning the top makes when it's up and secured. On both sides where the top locks down it makes noise when driven over bumps etc.....
My 87 Cab never did this.

Has anyone similar experiences and but most importantly solutions they could share???

I think Wurth sells a rubber spray/conditioner, there is also a wax that alot of owners use for the creaking windshiels on 993s. Chexh the archives on

My 90 creaked a bit until I lowered one of the "latch recevers" slightly. I'm talking about the part that the motorized latch grabs into. It might be worth looking into.

You can also replace the guide pins with the plastic coated shorter guide pins from the Targa. It was a Factory Tech bulletin if memory serves correctly.
