Bill, Thank you for the kind words! We used the 993 crank and I will have to discuss with our engine department staff about the wrist pins.

We are making good progress on the engine and the car will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20th. Here are many more pictures of the engine assembly process:

Engine case thoroughly cleaned in the ultrasonic cleaner

Balancing an engine is a critical step at BBi Autosport. For this particular engine, the components are weighed and matched within 0.3 gram. In comparison, factory tolerance is approximately within 5 grams.

Nice and Tidy.

Why are you using collapsible oil return tubes on a fresh engine build?

The specs in the original post states "M48" Motec ECU........it should say M84....there is a big difference since the M48 was old school technology.

We used it mainly for aesthetics.

It appears in the pictures of the Rods that there is metal removed on the beam near crank pin and below the wist pin along the axis of the beam and it also appears that the metal removal left a rough cut by the end mill and has not been shot peened to reduced the stress imparted by the cutter.
Is this the way Carrillo has been producing these parts?
Or is it just the Picture?
Regards
