964 Ventillation Control

I have a '93 C2 that appears to have a faulty heater controller. What years are compatible with this one? I saw a 996 controller that looked identical, but don't know if it is the same one. These things are pricey, but the 996 one seemed reasonable....

Thanks.

You need a 964 Unit or a very early 993 , but i think you dont have these in the US ( 94 Model ) ,i have a used 964 Unit ,but the weak Dollar
makes it expensive for you ,maybe too expensive ( 500 $ )

I'm sorry (brain not in gear), the one I was looking at was from a '95 993. Does this one work?

You will need to modify the wiring to get a 993 controller to work

If your heater/defroster doesn't blow, try looking at your engine compartment fan fuse. If it is burned, the cabin fans won't turn on.

The 993 controller that will work has a part #( 993.659.047.00) that ends in .00, the 95 and newer 993 climate controllers end in part # .01, and will not work.

Thanks for the help with the part number. The blowers (front and back) come on, but both flapper valves stay shut so that I get nice warm rear tires but no warm cabin.

My fans work on heat. In defrost mode the fan dose not go to high speed. Goes to high speed in AC mode. Any ideas?

Called System consulting today. He had not seen this problem. Gave me good advice as to how to proceed. Thanks for help.
