1990 Cab window problems

Hi. My drivers side window goes down but not up, unless i lift the power window switch with one hand and pull up the window with my other hand. It does down no problem, tries to go up and the motor runs, just doesn't catch or something. I'll be removing the door panel later today - what should I look for (it's not the switches and again, the power window motor turns)?
Thanks.

Are you sure it's not the switch? They are very inexpensive and are very easy to replace. One idea is to use your switch from the door/window that works and see if the other one then works. I would pursue that before pulling the door panel.

Both of the switches on my '90 Cab failed and they exhibited the same symptoms you cite before they failed entirely.

Not the switches. They went out before and are almost new. Again, the switch activates the motor - I can hear it. It also lowers the window beautifully. It tries to raise it but something inside the door seems to be slipping or not making proper contact.

Bummer. Good luck fixing it. Please post an update after you determine the problem.
