Lloyd floor mats question
Does anyone know what method Lloyd's mats use to hold the mat to the floor to keep it from slipping under foot on the 996's? Porsche OEM mats have those velcro-like circular patches, and Lloyd states on their site that it's either OEM or their own method. They (Lloyd) haven't responded to my request yet as to which they use. Wondering if 996 folks are happy with how they are adhered to the floor (I have some nicely embroidered no-name mats, but they slip up to the firewall in the first 100ft of driving!)
Also, I can't find any pictures to show the real-life difference between "Yellow" and "Bright Yellow" embroidery thread. If anyone has a shot of either one I'd like to see. Thx. Joel |

Seeing that nobody has responded to your question I have a Boxster and ordered and received Lloyd mats thru Pelican Parts. I was initially concerned that the rubber/vinyl mats would slide but instead find that they are a perfect fit even though not attached to the car. Having vinyl/rubber perhaps helps them not slide. They supply plastic clips to attach to the car but could not find anywhere to attach them too.
However with the perfect fit it precludes attachment. Purist might differ! Hope this helps. ![]()

Lloyds
I have a 997 and I bought lloyds mats. They fit well an have a clip fastened to the mat. The other end of the plastic clip fastens to the seat ( I think I unscrewed a little screw and fastened the clip under the track). The you put the mat in and snap the two pieces of clip together. Very secure and you just un clip it to remove it.
