I have 99 cab. The top goes up and down fine mechanically. However, when the top goes down, the canvas does not fold correctly and rests on the metal latch before the clamshell closes. If I don't manually tuck the canvas in, the latch punctures the canvas top hen the clamshell closes. It has torn several holes dead center in my roof. Any idea what is causing this?

I think the canvas has some tension straps broken or unattached.

You are probably missing the trim cover for the latch.
99656126501 Trim Cover (UP TO YEAR 01) $27.53 99656126503 Trim Cover (FROM YEAR 02 UP) $27.44

FPB111, can you share a picture of what this looks like? I have a 01, and its doing the same thing. When I looked at reference images online, my latch does appear to be missing a strange looking plastic cover, though i want to be sure before i order the part
