996 (996TT) ECU Programming DIY?
I don't mean buying a tune, but actually remapping yourself.
I have programmed the DME on my 3.2 Carrera and want to be able to do the same on my 996 Turbo. It currently has an aftermarket tune with some other mods, so I'm mostly looking to read and study the program. There are so many shops out there providing tuning service, so it can't be rocket science. I'm an engineer, and some of you know I'm not afraid to turn a wrench. Anyone played around with this on their car? PM me if you'd rather discuss this privately. TIA, Souk Last edited by MotoSook; 08-18-2017 at 07:42 AM.. |

Hi,
I notice you are trying to tune your ECU, are you looking at a bumping up the power significantly. I am sorry if I seem like I am hijacking the post but am not. I thought I would share a video of mods that my buddy did to his 996 Turbo, but he is looking at significant power adding. https://youtu.be/01n9Sy1ld1Q Is that what you are attempting ? Obviously the timing, fuel mix, boost, are critical in the correct prortions to prevent engine damage. Good luck, I would like to know if you are able to accomplish a tune. Cheers
